¡Hola and welcome!
I'm María José. That's Spanish for Mary Jo. I answer to those, María or MJ.
I am a Chilean, raised in the USA with a hint of Britishness mamá living in the Washington, D.C. area after six years in the UK. My husband and I decided it would be best to move back and be closer to our families and of course, for the free babysitting. I have a four year old bilingual son, and on January 29th gave birth to a girl. I am now a mamá of two and trying to sort out my new life!
I have an MA in Public Relations and Public Communication from the University of Westminster and I currently work as an Independent Media Strategist, freelance writer and blogger.
A mom at a playgroup once said to me "I have nothing to get dressed up for. No one but my kids and husband see me. I don't get those made up moms" (as she was staring at me). I pounced! If your kids and husband are not reason enough to make an effort to look and feel your best, then I don't know what is. The slummy mummy look (and feel) is not good for anyone involved.
So began Very Busy Mamá {life, beauty & style}, my space to share things that we as busy mothers and women love such as fashion, beauty, fitness but often put aside when the children come along. I no longer have the disposable income as before or the same body. I write about working with what you have, how to shop your own closet and staying stylish on a MAJOR budget. Being stylish and fashionable is what you make of it.
Oh and I'm now officially working for the MOUSE! Yep, I'm a Disney Baby Blogger!

Look forward to hearing from you!
¡Besos!
