Avoid over spending | Mix maternity & regular clothing

This week I am officially halfway through my pregnancy. As of today I am 20 weeks pregnant with my baby girl!

AND....I am beginning to expand. Big time.

YIKES!

Yes, I know it's for a good reason but still, I'm struggling to fit into clothing and experience tells me that buying maternity only is a big waste of money and truth be told, I don't like the selections all that much.

I'd rather buy a size (or two) up and then be able to wear it after the baby is born - however you can't mess with jeans and that I will buy in maternity.

Here are few looks where I mixed and matched maternity wear with my regular clothing.

Regular leggings
Short Sleeved Knit Top from Loft
Floral flats from Old Navy

Loved by Heidi Klum jeans from Motherhood Maternity - A Very Busy Mama Fave!
Open toed red booties from Nine West - SALE!
Green silk blouse from Old Navy - SALE!
Striped blazer from TJ Maxx

Printed floral Cath Kidston blouse used in first pregnancy four years ago
Aurora Blue Rockstart Maternity Jeans from Old Navy (on sale now) - A Very Busy Mama fave!

Notice how I look more pregnant in some outfits and not so much in others?

Yeah, strange.

I suppose jeans are a bit more restricting if they have an under belly band as opposed to full coverage. I recommend wearing a belly band to to keep your tummy nice, neat and smooth looking under your tops and dresses.

For now, I'm wearing my regular clothing for as long as possible before I go needlessly spending.
